Aurobond is a non-absorbable braided and coated synthetic multifilament composed of polyester fibres. Aurobond sutures are coated uniformly with silicone to increase surface lubricity, thereby enhancing handling characteristics.

Product features:

• High tensile strength.
• Good handling property.
• Good knot security.
• Relatives low tissue reactivity.
• It is a pliable, soft suture similar to silk.

General application in medical industry:

• Mucosal tissue surgery.
• Less common in dermatology.
• Ophthalmology.
